BANDS IN THE BACKYARD

An ongoing web series featuring up and coming bands doing stripped down versions of their songs and an interview in Kyle’s suburban new jersey backyard.

The series premieres an original episode every month, and began in late August 2011.

The Bands In The BackYard monthly episodes showcase different performers each month in the same backyard in Southern New Jersey, and as the months pass and the bands change, so do the seasons. BITBY gives the viewer a unique experience of the changing of the seasons and the incorporation of the elements in nature, in both the sound and the appearance.

In rain or snow or sun shine or clouds BITBY will be there to capture it all.

Through the course of time, BITBY.tv has expanded to provide a daily visual journal of local music and culture. Our current sections are:  

[BITBY Monthly Episode]: The origin, soul, and primary feature of BITBY, each monthly episode showcases a different band in the same backyard in Southern New Jersey. As the months pass and the bands change, so do the seasons, giving the viewer a unique experience of the change of each season and the incorporation of the elements in nature, in both the sound and the appearance.
 
[BITBY - BKSTG]: In addition to the monthly episodes, BITBY also shares [BITBY - BKSTG] sessions on a regular basis. These are often simple one camera shoots of our favorite bands playing stripped down versions of their songs in interesting environments.
 
[BITBY - LIVE] Acknowledging the completely different feel and energy of the live venue audience and atmosphere, [BITBY - LIVE] captures our favorite bands and producers of original music in a venue environment.
 

[BITBY - BITS]
Further illustrating aspects of music and culture of Philadelphia, [BITBY - BITS] features interviews with musicians, artists, venues and points of interest in the city.
